Victorian artist Bridget Farmer, has created this delightful set of illustrated cards.
The cards depict twelve different native Australian birds commonly found on beaches, estuaries and other coastal areas. The illustrations are all created from Bridget's own dry point etchings which have then been hand coloured with watercolour paints.
Included are instructions on how to play a number of different games, such as Go Fish (Go Bird!), snap and memory games, as well as encouraging players to invent their own games with the cards. There are also 4 info cards with details about each bird.
- Total deck of 48 cards, comprising four each of 12 Australian bird species, plus 4 info cards with details about each bird species
- Larger than usual scale cards (9x13cm) to make handling easier for younger (and older!) players
- The cards come in a sturdy 2 piece box
