Ngarga Warendj (Dancing Wombat) is the work of Victorian artist, Mick Harding. Mick belongs to the Yowong-Illam-Baluk clan of the Taungurung people, one of the five language groups that comprise the Kulin Nation. Residing in the rolling foothills of Gippsland’s Strzelecki ranges, Mick draws his inspiration from the compelling legends of his people, and weaves imagery from those legends into each of his designs.
- Each of these intricate Lapel Pins comes with a brief overview of the legend depicted, creating a clear link for the recipient to the Indigenous heritage referenced, and fostering a greater understanding of that heritage.
